EDUKASI PADA ORANG TUA DAN DETEKSI DINI STUNTING PADA ANAK USIA PRA SEKOLAH TPQ AR ROZA KECAMATAN GARUT KOTA KABUPATEN GARUT

Abstrak

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by long-term malnutrition, generally due
to food intake that does not meet nutritional needs. Stunting is a disorder of the child's
linear growth to become short or very short based on height for age with a threshold (Zscore) < -2 SD. The role of parents, especially mothers, is very important in the process
of early detection of stunting, good knowledge and attitudes are very important. needed
because the mother is the closest person in the family who plays a role in providing food
intake to children. The purpose of this service is to provide education in efforts to detect
early stunting in pre-school children 4-6 years. The technique used in this community
service is to disseminate knowledge about stunting and measure the growth and
development of pre-school children. The results obtained from carrying out this activity
were knowledge of mothers about early detection of stunting around 25 people. At the
time before 10 people knew about stunting and after following around 25 mothers
experienced an increase in knowledge about stunting detection.
