National data shows an increasing prevalence in the 15–24 age group, making schools a strategic environment for preventive interventions. Junior high school adolescents are highly vulnerable due to developmental factors, peer pressure, and a lack of knowledge about the risks of drugs. This community service activity was carried out to improve adolescent health literacy and develop preventive attitudes towards drug abuse. Methods: The activity was carried out through face-to-face counseling for 55 students in grades VIII and IX at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Education used presentation media, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions. Evaluation was carried out through direct observation of student engagement during the session. Results: The activity ran smoothly and received high enthusiasm from participants. Students were able to answer questions more accurately after the counseling, demonstrating an increased understanding of the types, dangers, and prevention efforts of drug abuse. The discussion was active and showed a change in awareness of the importance of protecting themselves from the negative effects of drugs. Overall, this counseling was effective in improving health literacy and preventive attitudes among adolescents. Conclusion: School-based drug counseling has been shown to improve students' knowledge and attitudes regarding drug abuse prevention. Educational interventions like this need to be carried out continuously with school support to create a drug-free educational environment.

Keywords: drugs, health education, adolescents, schools, prevention.
Yersi Ahzani Meri Anggryni Minnatun Khasa Desak Gede Yenni Apriani Desak Made Firsia Sastra Putri Copyright (c) 2026 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-12-15 2025-12-15 6 2 71 76 10.33482/jdk.v6i2.192 USE OF MENSTRUAL CALENDAR APPLICATIONS TO IMPROVE ADOLESCENTS' REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH KNOWLEDGE AT SMPN 1 SELAAWI https://dedikasi.lp4mstikeskhg.org/index.php/home/article/view/195
Adolescence is a time of physical, psychological, and intellectual
growth and development. Non-communicable diseases often
develop without early symptoms, so many cases are not detected early on. This
activity aims to improve the health status of farmers through health education
and early detection of non-communicable diseases in Kampung Cioyod,
Bayongbong District, Garut Regency. The implementation method uses a
promotive and preventive approach based on community empowerment,
which includes the stages of preparation, health education, early detection of
NCDs, health counseling, and monitoring and evaluation. Health education was
conducted interactively to increase farmers' knowledge and awareness of risk
factors, prevention, and control of NCDs. Early detection was carried out
through blood pressure checks, blood sugar level tests, and body mass index
measurements. The results of the activity showed an increase in farmers'
knowledge and positive attitudes towards healthy living behaviors, as well as
the discovery of farmers with risk factors and early indications of NCDs that
were previously unknown. This activity is effective in increasing health
awareness and early detection of NCDs among farmers, and has the potential
to improve productivity and community welfare in a sustainable manner.
Nurani Ai Erlinawati Nurani Ai Erlinawati Andhika Lungguh Perceka Andhika Lungguh Perceka Hasbi Taobah Ramdani Hasbi Taobah Ramdani Sugiah Sugiah Herlin Rusyani Herlin Rusyani Taufik Huda Taufik Huda Copyright (c) 2025 LP4M STIKes Karsa Husada Garut https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-12-17 2025-12-17 6 2 83 90 10.33482/jdk.v6i2.190 REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AS A MEASURE TO PREVENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE AT MI 2 ALKHOIRIYAH GARUT https://dedikasi.lp4mstikeskhg.org/index.php/home/article/view/173
Sexual violence against children is a serious problem that affects children's physical, psychological, and social development. Young children are highly vulnerable to sexual violence due to their limited knowledge and ability to protect themselves. Therefore, early reproductive health education is an important preventive measure. This community service activity aims to provide reproductive health education to early childhood as an effort to prevent sexual violence at MI 2 Alkhoiriyah Garut. The methods of implementation include the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The preparation stage is carried out through initial observation, coordination with the school, and the preparation of materials tailored to the child's development. Lack of knowledge and awareness among adolescents about risk factors and prevention of DM can increase the likelihood of developing DM in adulthood. This community service activity aims to optimize the use of leaflets in educating adolescents about diabetes mellitus as an early prevention strategy. The method of implementation includes providing health education using leaflets containing information about DM, risk factors, signs and symptoms, and prevention efforts through the application of a healthy lifestyle. The target of this activity is adolescents living in the Setiaratu Village, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City. This activity was carried out as part of the Tasikmalaya Health Polytechnic's IPTEKS community service program for the community (IbM). The activity was carried out in October 2025. The training results showed that adolescents' knowledge scores about diabetes mellitus increased by 30 points compared to before. Statistically, using the Wilcoxon test, the results showed a difference in the average knowledge scores before and after training, with a significance level of ρ = 0.0001 (ρ < 0.05). It is hoped that after receiving this training, adolescents will contribute to increasing public knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus. Thus, the optimization of leaflets has proven effective as a health education tool in increasing adolescents' awareness and knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus as an early prevention effort.
Peni Cahyati Peni Cahyati Dudi Hartono Dudi Hartono Dewi Aryanti Dewi Aryanti Yudi Triguna Yudi Triguna Tetet Kartilah Tetet Kartilah Kusmiyati Kusmiyati Sofia Februanti Sofia Februanti Novia Indriani Novia Indriani Novi Enis Rosuliana Novi Enis Rosuliana Syaukia Andini Syaukia Andini Copyright (c) 2025 LP4M STIKes Karsa Husada Garut https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-12-23 2025-12-23 6 2 98 101 10.33482/jdk.v6i2.129 ASSISTANCE IN DISTRIBUTING IRON TABLETS TO EIGHTH-GRADE FEMALE STUDENTS TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ANEMIA IN SUKARATU DISTRICT, TASIKMALAYA https://dedikasi.lp4mstikeskhg.org/index.php/home/article/view/177
Anemia in adolescent girls is a public health issue that affects quality of life, academic achievement, and increases the risk of problematic pregnancies and stunting in the future. Adolescent girls in madrasahs in rural areas are more vulnerable due to limited nutritional knowledge, low compliance with Iron and Vitamin A Supplement (IVAS) consumption, and strong myths surrounding IVAS. This community service activity aims to improve adolescent girls' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in consuming TTD through distribution assistance and comprehensive education. The target of the activity is 56 eighth-grade MTs students in Sukaratu District, Tasikmalaya Regency, most of whom are also santri (Islamic boarding school students). The method used a participatory educational approach through brainstorming, material delivery, discussion, practice of taking TTD and independent recording, as well as simple pre- and post-tests over two days. The first day focused on exploring initial knowledge, clarifying facts and myths, the benefits of TTD, sources of iron, and the correct methods of consumption and recording. The second day evaluated participants' ability to explain anemia and TTD in their own words, practice consumption and recording, and identify ways to overcome uncomfortable side effects. The results of the activity showed an increase in enthusiasm and understanding; the majority of students were able to articulate the concepts of anemia, the benefits of TTD, and self-recording.
