Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Team of DEDICATED Journal of Community Service recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore sets out the following policy stating the specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in DEDICATED Journal of Community Service.

Definition:
Plagiarism is the act of intentionally or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or a grade for a scientific work, by quoting part or all of the work and/or scientific work of another party recognized as one's own, without properly and adequately acknowledging the source.

For that, then :

Articles must be original, unpublished, and not in the process of awaiting publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it differs from the original text.

If plagiarism is identified, then, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the review of the article and will approve action according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Level of Plagiarism
1. Plagiarizing part of a short sentence from another article without mentioning the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to amend the text and cite correctly.
2. Plagiarized a large part of another article without proper citation and did not mention the source. Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the DEDICATED Journal of Community Service.

All authors of the article are responsible for the content of the article they submitted as they all signed the DEDICATED Journal of Community Service Publication Ethics Waiver Form. If the article is classified as plagiarism, then all authors will be subject to the same action.

If the author is proven to submit a manuscript to the DEDIKASI Community Service Journal by simultaneously submitting it to another journal, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, the action will be taken according to point 2 above.

If plagiarism is found outside the above rules, the editor of the DEDIKASI Community Service Journal has the right to impose sanctions according to the editorial team's policy.
